Fritz's Corner
Fritz's Corner, one of the most active music clubs in Stockholm, Sweden, needed to upgrade their static website and present a more interactive and attractive website to their fans.
Our office mate Fagge at Paper Hits was acting as the main designer in this project. He had the honor of creating a new profile for Fritz's Corner and it turned out really good! It is always a pleasure to work with motivated, nice and professional people.
For the website, we started off with wireframes trying to specify all the needs to make it interesting and up-to-date. The most important content for Fritz's Corner is the calendar content, presenting upcoming shows. With that in mind we started to focus on all the high-quality photos that are often available from bands and artists. We came up with the idea of a poster-like frontpage with the next upcoming gig in focus.
There was also a need for a news section with the latest interviews with bands, upcoming releases, videos etc. The result became a blog-style news feed with different categories.

Another premium feature is the gallery with photos from the past shows. We wanted to avoid the common lightbox solution this time so we came up with a thumbs-slider beneath the main image field.

On top of this, we added the really nice and intense design work that Fagge made. For the new logo, which exists in three different forms, we created an animation that switches smoothly between the different versions. In order to make this available to as many visitors as possible, we decided to avoid Flash and instead use a JavaScript solution which works on all modern browsers.
The people at Fritz's Corner seem really pleased with the result, and we hope and think that their audience will have a long and happy relationship with their new website.
